“Receiving the highest possible level of STEP recognition this year is an honor and is a direct reflection of the commitment our entire team has to ensuring a safe work environment,” said Mike Laboski, director of HSE and risk management for The DiMarco Group. “From senior management to field personnel to corporate office staff, every person in the organization plays a role in maintaining the highest level of safety standards.”
STEP was established in 1989 by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety Committee to assist ABC member contractors in evaluating and improving corporate safety practices and recognize outstanding safety training efforts. STEP awards are presented annually in six categories: Participant, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Each year, more than 2,000 contractors of various sizes participate in the STEP program.
