DIMARCO CONSTRUCTORS WINS PRESTIGIOUS SAFETY TRAINING AND EVALUATION PROCESS DIAMOND AWARD

January 6, 2014 — For the fifth consecutive year, DiMarco Constructors LLC, a member of The DiMarco Group family of companies, has been honored with a Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) award from Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Empire State Chapter. With incremental improvement for safety scores each year, the company was recently recognized with the highest achievable STEP recognition, the <strong>2014 Diamond Award</strong>.

Each year, DiMarco Constructors has incrementally improved its safety scores, receiving a Bronze Award in 2010, Silver in 2010, Gold in 2011, Platinum in 2012 and now the highest available, the Diamond Award in 2013.

A national association with 74 chapters representing 22,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms, ABC evaluates award recipients on the merits of company safety program implementation, data submitted via STEP applications and company management system documentation reviews.

STEP was established in 1989 by the ABC National Environment, Health &amp; Safety Committee to assist ABC member contractors in evaluating and improving corporate safety practices and recognize outstanding safety training efforts. STEP awards are presented annually in six categories: Participant, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Each year, more than 2,000 contractors of various sizes participate in the STEP program.
